What questions should I ask when calling my insurance company?

  1. Do I have nutrition counseling coverage?

    If the representative asks for a CPT code, please share 97802 & 97803.
    If you're interested in group therapy, please ask the following: is 97804 covered by my insurance?
    If these codes are not covered, please ask for more details on coverage.
  2. Is Renew Nutrition Therapy in-network with my insurance policy?
  3. Do I have preventative or diagnostic coverage? What ICD 10 codes are included for nutrition coverage?

    If the representative asks for a diagnosis (ICD 10 code), please share Z71.3.

  4. Do I have telehealth services as a covered benefit?
  5. How many visits do I have per year?
  6. When does my year begin and end?
